Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators with Hands-On STEM Programs

Deadly Coders delivers immersive, face-to-face STEM workshops that empower Indigenous students with real-world digital skills, boost confidence, and spark a passion for science and technology. These programs are culturally responsive, fun, and designed to inspire the next generation of deadly thinkers and creators.

Hackathon

Learn design thinking frameworks, app prototyping and development skills.
Students will design, develop, and deploy mobile apps in our course for ages 10-15. Gain creativity, technical skills, and handson experience with expert guidance. Enjoy real-world application and interactive learning in a fun, engaging environment.

Minitendo Program

Coding and game development using MakeCode Arcade.
Students start with a Nametag Project to get familiar with coding basics, then progress to a larger arcadestyle project where they design a 2D retro game with sprites, backgrounds, and interactivity. The program also teaches students how to connect and play their games on the MiniTendo device (Adafruit PyBadge), similar to a handheld gaming console.

ARDUINO GAMEPAL

Program a hand-held gamepal device using text coding
Arduino GamePal is a straightforward project of creating your own 'GameBoy' and then coding Pong to play on the device you have built - many gratification steps, and a 'feel-good' project to walk away with.
