Students will design, develop, and deploy
mobile apps in our course for ages 10-15.

Minitendo Program
Coding
and game development using MakeCode Arcade.
Students start with a Nametag Project to get familiar
with coding basics, then progress to a larger arcadestyle project where they design a 2D retro game with
sprites, backgrounds, and interactivity. The program
also teaches students how to connect and play their
games on the MiniTendo device (Adafruit PyBadge),
similar to a handheld gaming console.
ARDUINO GAMEPAL
Program a hand-held gamepal device using text coding
Arduino GamePal is a straightforward project of creating your own 'GameBoy' and then coding Pong to play on the device you have built - many gratification steps, and a 'feel-good' project to walk away with.
What participants think of our programs
"The jarjums have been so engaged in the Deadly Coders program - I had to actually peel them away from their computers at the end of the day."
