Deadly Coders has won the Business category at the 2025 Queensland Reconciliation Awards for our flagship initiative, Deadly Coders Academy. Under this year\u2019s Reconciliation Week theme, \u2018Bridging Now to Next\u2019, the awards recognise and celebrate organisations working towards a united future, highlighting the importance of learning from the past while moving forward.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Queensland Reconciliation Awards<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Queensland Reconciliation Awards have been recognising Indigenous excellence and achievement for more than 20 years. This year, over 50 nominations across 5 categories were received. The Business category recognises an ongoing commitment to driving reconciliation through meaningful initiatives that support economic growth, skills development, employment pathways, workplace inclusion, and diversified career opportunities for First Nations peoples across Queensland.<\/p>\n

Deadly Coders Academy<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The award specifically recognises the Deadly Coders Academy program which trains First Nations learners in software engineering and cyber security skills and connects them with meaningful employment pathways, balanced with culturally safe mentoring and support. The Academy focuses on connecting Indigenous learners with tailored tech upskilling courses. \u00a0This year, the academy launched with a pilot program of 15 Melbourne-based Software Engineering students and 15 Cyber Security students in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

This achievement is a testament to the ongoing efforts of our team, our partners, and community contributors, who believe in the power of technology, education, and cultural integrity to create real impact.<\/p>\n
